The 100-PSI Difference: Why Autoclave-Cured Carbon is the Only Choice for Pros
Most "carbon" boards are vacuum-bagged at room temperature. At RockerWave, we treat our boards like fighter jet wings. Every Master Series hull is cured in a high-pressure Industrial Autoclave at 100 PSI and 250°F.
1. Eliminating Micro-Voids
Standard curing leaves microscopic air bubbles (voids) in the resin, which act as failure points under stress. Our autoclave process crushes these voids out of existence, resulting in a carbon matrix that is 30% denser and significantly more rigid than the industry average.
2. Optimal Resin-to-Fiber Ratio
By using "Pre-preg" carbon—where the resin is pre-impregnated into the fiber—and curing it under extreme pressure, we achieve the perfect 60/40 fiber-to-resin ratio. The result? A board that is lighter, stiffer, and virtually immune to the "softening" that plagues inferior brands after a season of use.
